Transforming a fence in a window at zero cost

Just finished today! It took me two full days (besides usual to-do-things) to tear down part of wall, rebuild a frame and then a window to go into it. The result is more than acceptable... actually it's quite good, matching closely the thai-style design but with a bit more careful approach in the total re-use of materials and left overs.

Most of the dust and the small chips went already together with other biomass as regular mulching materials; bigger chips and more chunky bits will wait a bit more until I get some other interesting stove going.
It all came from a few pieces of a shattered old fence: I cleaned out the teak wood posts from bamboo (which is going to be transformed into heat later on) and nails which I have used in the rest of the construction.

Here is the frame, almost completed. A few other shots reveal some details of the connection of the corners.

So this is the final window! The hinges came from the bathroom door, which is going to become a sliding door in the next days.

The good part of thai-style building technique is that anywhere you look... dodgy parts or rough details blend together and effectively disappear while you cannot miss the smallest mistake in the wanna-be-perfect house!
The bad part... well, is that it's not a perfect house but so it's obvious that it doesn't matter at all! There is always going to be lot's of room for improvement and play around...
