Preparing for the flooring

After setting the supports for the floor, all the preparations are aimed at keeping a mild temperature facing the freezing cold weather that came in these days: it must be at least 6 degrees Celsius for pouring the insulation layer of cork and lime. This is the result... we can start!!!

Very important step: protecting the walls from potential splashing!!! They look pretty good now so... if the splashing is kept to minimum there is going to be less time to loose in the cleanup process.
Wishing for the best!

At the second floor (not heated at the moment) laying a thin protecting sheet will hopefully prevent the heat from escaping upstairs.

In the room a gas stove (at minimum level) it's keeping constant temperature.

A roll down sheet on top of the temporary sliding door will close most of the opening of the room, keeping most of the heat inside.

An additional precaution: I added a temporary piece of wood protecting the edge of the entrance step. It's expected to go in (with heavy loads) and out many times in the next part of the process.

Ready to start!
