Over a very (sadly) long stretch of time, broken into a myriad of short spare times and long phases of study and research over the chosen building materials and later at the details of the patterns... finally the first new bath for guests is taking shape.
Most of the design choices and definitely the color range have been determined by the characteristics of the floor that have been laid in "terrazzo alla Veneziana" style. In order to match this choice, I decided to study and use a lime based mortar named "marmorino" that ends up having some sort of a shiny finish.
But the primal choice to begin with was to turn around the inner doors to access the bathroom and insert a wide space for a transparent glass-brick window.

A selected set of thrift shop price glass-tiles and gres-stone tiles were readily available.
The greatest score (thanks to a friend) was the stone slab that was just perfectly enough to complete both the sill of the bathroom and the one of the connected room.
Halfway through the tile laying sequence, the window has been replaced in the bathroom as well as in the connected room.
All the main features are connected and just a few details are missing before making it operative. It's been a massive effort so far but there is still stuff to do before reaching the final goal... it's always going to be like this though!
