Recovering some beautiful boards of hard wood that aged for ages, I decided to test it (as well as my own abilities...) with some notching using of course only hand tools (pull-saw, hammer and chisel). This is the cutting pattern that I used: dove-tail even if we call it in Italian "coda di rondine" that would be translated into sparrow tail... different bird but same tail!
These are just the rough cuts: my chisel set really needs to be improved as soon as possible! Anyway with a few adjustments they all fit together......nice and tight with no glue at all. This is after a simple water based finishing but actually they are becoming something in the next days...
