The most incredible archeological discoveries can happen dealing with the restoration of an old building! It would be very interesting to find out if there were some studies on stone walls in the regard of the particular "circumstances"  in which some of these items have been found...

Evolution of the ground floor

Time for meditation... Slighly less than one year ago the massive reconstruction of the ground floor had just started: tons of dirt and debris still had to be taken out and disposed, the inner door was shorter and narrower, the new electric grid was still far even from being envisioned and now it's almost ready to be wired.
