The old water tank near the canal, receiving water from an under ground pipe, was in really bad conditions when we arrived at the RawJah house... it was leaking from various cracks, especially from the bottom cap and it didn't have a precise output to control the water level: so it needed a good substantial restoration...

10 years ago I was in the tropics working hard to brighten someone else's dream, so many nightmares of sadness and depression I had to go through but now... I am here defending and developing my dream, a piece of land and a centuries old building: the RawJah house!!!
A very much needed reset of the garden was calling since long time... so finally I have taken down the division between the farming area and the grassy part of the garden court. This will allow the raspberries to breathe and to be harvested in an easier way.
A very important step was set this year, cutting a corner of the existing terrace (some said to me it was impossible...) in order to allow a window to become a door... but this is another story. The tricky bit was this one and needed to be solved.
Terrible drought times in these months, as somebody decided to divert the water flow of our canal the Roggia Cividina. It's been dry weather for weeks now but the choice has been done on a local political level causing a tremendous damage to all the wildlife and the trees growing along the sides.
